Nanyuki’s Sportsman’s Arms for a Venue

This year, WordCamp Kenya takes you to the foot of Mt. Kenya, in Nanyuki town. It has become our norm to take WordCampers to different parts of the country – Naivasha in 2011, Machakos in 2012 and this year, we are doing it better and bigger at Nanyuki’s Sportsman’s Arms lodge.

One of the main reasons we picked this venue is the serenity – the sound of nature fills up the compound and it just takes you away to just being there. A gem we do not usually find in our day to day life.

Secondly, the food there is excellent, and like we did last year at Maanzoni lodge, we are ready to feast you for two days, making sure we have the best of the WordCamp sessions and more, the pleasure that comes with it.

Thirdly, we love to have our fun while at it. The Nanyuki nightlife is centered at Sportsman’s arms. After our busy sessions during the day, Saturday night is a night to get it all out!

Connectivity is the fourth reason we picked this awesome location – unlike last year, Orange will provide connectivity at the event and we can go ham on Twitter!

So there you have it, no more better venue. Remember, the Kshs. 3,500 you pay for WordCamp Kenya 2013 covers your transport from Nairobi and back, accommodation at this beautiful lodge, food for 2 days and best of all, the 2 day WordCamp sessions.
